Really classic shape, great color, packaging is superior to most well known eyeglass brands and better thought out, first purchase from Akila not expecting much, but was genuinely impressed, keep it up !!!
Frame was beautiful and the arms and bridge were well sized but the lenses were child sized tiny. Too bad because the texture and color were beautiful.
Let me begin by mentioning that this is a very nice pair of sunglasses. The acetate feels substantial, and the lenses appear to be of high-quality. The only reason I’m giving these 4 stars is due to how the frames were oriented out of the box. The arms were not adjusted evenly—to the point I had to take them into an optical store before I was able to wear them. Luckily, Framed Ewe took care of me! All in all, these seem to be worth every bit of $120.
AKILA Eyewear is designed to last & handcrafted from eco-friendly plant-based cellulose acetate.
Cellulose acetate is a natural bioplastic made from the fibers of cotton or wood pulp. This compound is then mixed with various colored dyes, block casted, then sliced into sheets or chipped into tiny color pellets. The final product is biodegradable and renewable.
